My story begins in the suburbs of Long Island, New York where I grew up. Intrigued by human nature, I attended the State University of New York at New Paltz to study Psychology. The link between stress and disease, depression and anxiety guided me to focus on the importance of deep relaxation. Shortly after graduation Massage Therapy was reintroduced to me as a career possibility. It was through healing touch that I discovered a gift. I discovered a way to help people access the natural state of relaxation where healing occurs. Massage Therapy was a highly rewarding career but the physical ware and tare began to appear within a few years of working. I knew that taking care of me was most important so that I could care for my clients. So in order to manage my own stress I began a dedicated yoga practice. Having been exposed to yoga and its benefits since early childhood I knew it was just where I needed to be to achieve balance in my life. Wanting to share what I had been learning I attended my first yoga teacher training program becoming certified at the 200-hour level at A Jewel in the Lotus, Islip NY. Thirsty for more knowledge I went on to receive a 500-hour certification at the Yoga Polarity Center, Malverne NY. It was here that I spent two and a half years studying yoga and Polarity Therapy, an energetic approach to bodywork. Adding this dynamic to sessions and teaching provided me with even more resources to guide people even deeper in relaxation and healing. Understanding the physical, emotional and mental relationships within us, we can find the place where we are and begin to walk the path of peace.
After 10 years of being in the healing arts on the east coast, the draw of the Rocky Mountains became too much to ignore. Settling in Westminster, CO has provided me with the space that is now called Bridge Therapy Center (BTC). The center consists of an intimate yoga studio and a treatment room for Integrated Bodywork sessions.
The studio is designed for semi-private classes containing up to three students only. This supportive environment allows for personalized attention for each student, something that is a challenge in large group classes. The format of BTC is to assist you in creating a solid foundation to build upon and to guide you deeper into your practice, giving your effort a greater potential to bear results.
BTCs treatment room for Integrated Bodywork is quiet, tranquil and beaming with natural light. A serene atmosphere helps to create a safe space for clients to express themselves free of judgment and deeply relax on the massage table.
